akaAeschynanthus Rasta Height: 35cm Nursery Pot: 15cm
Another quirky but easy-care houseplant, she's known as the twisted lipstick plant due to her beautiful red flowers, which resemble a tube of red lipstick.
Light: Native to the tropical and humid rainforests or Jave, she'll be happiest with an hour or two of direct sunlight.
Water: She has exceptional tolerance for neglect, which makes her great for new plant parents or forgetful ones! Her thick leaves will store water, so on average, aim to water her once her soil has almost dried out. Always check her soil with your finger before re-watering. If it's moist, hold off.
She enjoys humidity so perfect for bright bathrooms and kitchens, or mist regularly.
Height: She makes a great hanging plant as her distinctive curly leaves can trail up to 1m with the right TLC.
