aka Alocasia Cucullata
Nursery pot: 12cm
Pot in picture: Ring Pot 15x13cm (sold separately)
Light: Instant tropical vibes from this fella! He's happiest in a position with bright but indirect sunlight.
Water: Stick a finger in his soil once a week and if it comes out dry, it's time for a drink! Rember to reduce your watering during Autumn/Winter. Use lukewarm water as his root system is quite sensitive to temperature change.
Height: He's quick to grow and can reach heights of 1 meter with the right TLC. Don't be startled in winter months if his bottom leaves die back - just cut them off at the base when this happens.
PM tip: He’s a tropical guy who loves moist air. This will help to keep his leaves happy. You can replicate his native environment by finding him a home in a bright bathroom, or by regular misting, or a humidifier.
Did you know: He's also known as Buddha's hand as this plant is believed to bring good fortune and is often kept in Buddhist temples across Thailand and Laos?
As with many houseplants, he can be mildly toxic if ingested.
